How do you measure the social impact of anything when the nation has been thrown into disarray by bushfires, floods and a global pandemic?

Entrants in the 2020 Social Impact Measurement Network Australia (SIMNA) awards are invited to share the adaptations they’ve made in response to the multiple disasters of the past 12 months.

Responses will provide invaluable insights into how grantmakers, philanthropists, governments and other funders are dealing with the fallout from these unprecedented events, and the award organisers aim to share the experiences and lessons captured this way.

The annual awards, now in their seventh year, are open to entrants in four categories:

  • Effective investment in Social Impact Measurement – for funders, grant makers, philanthropists and governments whose impact in social impact measurement is driving real change. (Sponsored by Our Community.)
  • Excellence in Social Impact Measurement – for organisations that are setting the benchmark for social impact measurement in Australia.
  • Innovation in Social Impact Measurement – for individuals, groups and all change makers that are developing, adapting or adopting social impact measurement in new and exciting ways.
  • Outstanding Collaboration in Social Impact Measurement – for social impact projects that are all about successful collaboration.

This year the application process is powered by SmartyGrants, making it easier than ever before to enter.

Entries close on Friday October 16, and winners will be announced at a virtual event on Wednesday December 2.
